That's the way I would do it and have the game look for them in that order.
So I've got a question to SI: will we see that kind of thing in FM 2006? I know that You probably must have licenses for using club or comptetition balls and the whole action may cost a lot of time but it's was and still is a great idea! If licenses is the problem maybe You could just make the possibility to assign balls for clubs and competitions and the CM Rev Match Balls team will to the rest ;] If time is the problem - we also can help!
