Why can clubs no longer buy specificly under-18 Brazilians? Why just Brazilians? I thought a rule like this would apply to non-EU under-18s not just specificly Brazilians.
There's a law here saying that under-18 people can't go to another country without one of their parents. Some clubs know it and when a club wish a promising player, it tries to hire his parents too :thdn:.

But not all parents wish to go outside, because they aren't players and their adaptation to a new country is even worst than players.

CBF is also trying to keep all promising players here, because there were a lot of good player that went to a new country and were completly forgotten. So CBF is also forbidden young players to go outside.

A player can go to justice and try to play in another country, because everyone is free to work where he wants. But justice here is so sloooooowwwww and these players usually aren't U-18 anymore when justice finally decided . </BLOCKQUOTE>

When was this law implemented?
Sounds as if the government are saying 'we own you' until you are 18. Sounds like a bizarre un-democratic backwards law. </BLOCKQUOTE>

Because I buy young Brazilian players and train the up, 180+ players only though.

If you're so persistent in getting your young brazilians, why don't you just edit their age so they're 18 and then once you have them change it back to what it was before you bought them.

It's a very old law. The main problem here is those guys who create laws (believe me, there are laws worst than that). They consider adolescents as they are children :thdn:, and children can't go outside without any of their parents. Those stupid guys must know that adolescents aren't so "innocent" and "fool" as they think.

I like this law.

Most U-18 players (not only Braziians) that go abroad end up living in terrible conditions because they fail to adapt to their new country.

Didn't Robinho have problems with his move to real Madrid because of the Brazilian FA?

His mother was kidnapped at the end of 2004 (for two months) but to all intents and purposes, his move from Santos to Real in August was quite smooth if I remember correctly.

This is now going grossly off-topic and is becoming less and less relevent to the title.

robinhos move to real wasnt smooth he almost had to buy his way out of the contract at santos. But then brazilian fa forced santos to let him go.

Buying oneself out of one's contract isn't new! Ronaldo did it if you remember.

And historically, Santos seem to have a talent for denying it's players big-money/reputation-making moves to Europe.

I wish all Brazilian teams had the same policy.

And by the way, the Brazilian FA didn`t force Santos to sell Robinho nor forced them to sell him.

Real Madrid in the beginning of the negotiations used the wrong legal procedures to sign Robinho. They deposited the money on CBF when CBF had nothing to do with it. CBF has to allow any transfer but they are not the place to deposit the value of any transfers, especially after Santos had already rejected Real Madrid`s original offer.
