I am going to be buying FM2006.

I want to make my own team of my friends to use in FM2006. This means whole new team and whole new players.
I just wondered how easy is it to create a new team fresh?
Is their an in game editor to do this?
Is it hard to get the team balence ok?
Or is it easyer to create the team by writing over an existing team?

It's easy.

There's an editor for the game packaged with it.
It's best to make a team from scratch.

if you want to go the whole hog, use multimap to find your longitude and latitude to make a new town, then set up a stadium, then the local media, etc...

I have done it a few times. As Dan said it is better to start a team from scratch. But while you are waiting it might be worth creating the team on excel, and creating DOB's,Positions,best stats etc. So your prepared when you come to make it. I will be making my own aswell, but I still have the last excel file.

I used to do it with Belfast Celtic, a team that is defunct (and has been for nearly 40 years!), I swapped them with a Championship team and just added players, staff etc on official editor, everything from scratch. Gave them a reputation of 7000, and they won loads.
