Hi guys thought i would download an editor to try to play with a couple of things with my save game in fm2005. so i downloaded mcfm05 but it will not recognize my game.
I have
MCFM05-version 0.5.0.0
FM2005 Versioon 5.0.5 121
I am running an original copy of game with cd in the drive. i. exactly as it was bought.
please help

What do you mean 'it will not recognise your game'?
Does it display a warning? Is there an error? Is your game running at the same time?

Hi
The game is running
I get the message "the version of the currently runniog instance of FM2005 could not be determined" and some other things. then get 3 options as to the problem
1. save game not loaded. it is
2. current version of fm2005 not supported. it said on the site it was
3. cracked game. nope its the original played as meant to be

So it was bought in the UK? Right. There is a problem with some versions of the game. WSM, although supported has had some compatibility issues.
Have you used the pregame editor or added anything onto the game such as facepacks, logos, anything like that which would make the game different from the version you got in the box (besides the patch)?

no. have not done anything to the game at all. only other thing i use is fm scout and it works fine with that.

Have you actually patched the game, RichardH, or did it come as 5.0.5 on the CD? I'm sure I've noticed elsewhere on here that some people who bought a later release of the CD which already had the patch applied have had trouble getting MCFM to recognise it. It may be worth downloading the 5.0.5 patch from sigames.com and applying that, then seeing if you can use MCFM successfully.

You can't patch a game that's already patched. It won't let you.

the game was patched by download. I got the game not long aftr original release
