I'm having trouble. Does this method work in FM 2006 too?

I saved my picture (after formatting it) in:

CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2006\data\graphics\pictures\players\regens. I named it 'picture' and it's format is .png.

In the config.xml file, I added the line:

<record from="picture" to="graphics/pictures/person/my name 1-1/portrait"/>

(I've changed my name and birthday on here for privacy reasons - in the actual config.xml file they're accurate).

I added this line at the bottom of the regens list before '</list>'.

I've restarted FM 2006, but no luck. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have Skin Cache switched on? If so, disable it in the preferences and then change to another skin and your picture should display as you seem to have done everything else correctly.

I had it turned on, I disabled it and it still didn't work. I changed skin (with skin cache still disabled) and it worked, but my picture was sized incorrectly and was in black and white and of poor quality.

Wouldn't I be set to appear as a regen by doing this, though?
