Help, please! The FM 2006 editor keeps crashing to desktop.
I have tried to use the editor on 2 or 3 occasions. Each time it crashes to my desktop and gives me the following message.
WARNING! The rseolution was changed to a resolution smaller than the minimum required. It will be automatically reverted to it's previous resolution.
OK
When I click on "OK" or the "X" in the top left corner of the message, it reverts to the smaller/larger resolution and the whole process keeps repeating itself. The only way out is "ctrl", "alt"and "del" and then close the editor down.
I have seen some other posts with the same problem but no-one seems to have been able to assist as yet. I am hoping that Mr O'Reilly may have the answer. Kind regards to all.

Mr Kelly, the following are my settings. I hope they make sense.
Power options properties screen.
Power schemes
Home/Office Desks
Settings for Home/office desks power scheme.
Turn off monitor --- Never.
Turn off hard disks - Never.
System standby --- Never.
System hibernates - Never.
I do not have any screensaver on at all.
Also, I have unticked the data folder as advised in another post but have not touched the editor folder. Do I need to? If so what. Please forgive any stupidity but I do not have a clue about pc workings.Kind regards to all who are trying to help all of my ilk.

For Graeme Kelly. I am in the editor screen. I type in the name of Bath. I type "City" to make the short name Bath City. I click on the space to type in another team.
The screen then goes black and reverts to the desktop with the aforementioned message in the centre of the screen. In the taskbar is the icon for FM editor. There is no response when I click on it,right or left.
The only ways out, are to switch off the pc or use ctrl, alt and del.
I have tried the various suggestions that I have seen in the forums but to no avail.
My experience tells me that I must be doing something wrong yet I have seen some others are having similar problems as mine. I hope that this is what you need. Kindest of regards.

Mr Kelly,Many thanks for your kind assistance. I am rising 64yrs and do not really understand what actions I have to take to enable the editor.
I have not had this type of problem with any of the previous CM/FM games. That is why I think it could be me having done something daft. Not for the first time I must add. I look forward to any help that you and your valued freinds can give me. Again, kindest of regards to you all at SI,FM 2006, in my opinion is still excellent.
