Is it possible, istead of by nation, to retain a leagues set of players? For example Playing has the premiership but what to retain the french first leagues players?

I think you can do it by club, so in theory yes.

Some of the stuff in there's a bit old and may need to be updated a bit, but it should be enough to get you started.

You could just load the league but put detail to Basic, it doesnt really slow down your game and its much more realistic as the players actually play matches.
