Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default A few questions regarding tactics

Hello.

I'm playing the norwegian first division team Strømsgodset, and after finishing two seasons in 4th place I'm planning on going more thoroughly at it in the third season.

I'm planning on paying close attention to how the opponents play, but I'm not sure how to prevent them from certain things.

1. When they have pacey midfielders\attackers that always seem to get behind my defence, what do I do?

2. I play 4-2-2 or 4-3-3 with defensive, slow playing style with quick passing and counter attacks. The basic strategy, but it works mostly. But in the last season I scored very few goals, but played an incredible amount of dra ws.

Any ideas for changes that could help?

And last but not least: Could you please give me a short summary of the most common tactics the AI uses and general tips on how to play well against it. I know I have to set up my team according to what kind of players I have, but some general tips would be nice.

So, to summarize: Help me, I'm stuck.

Deepen the d-line

I don't understand how it can be slow and quick at the same time. Please explain further.

The 4-4-2 long farrows seems to be more popular than previously, but tactic types are country specific, so I can't really be of any help.

So, to summarize: Help me, I'm stuck.
