I've been sacked!!! My family will starve! How do I avoid the dreaded 2nd season collapse?

I got to the play offs in my first season with Hull City. In my second season, I had won only two games by the end of October and was awarded an Ian Dowie!!!

During the second season I was told that my unwillingness to change my, previously, good tactics and formation was the cause of my teams demise.

On changing to a different formation and set of tactics the results remained the same. I was then told that my continual changing of aforesaid formations and tactics were the cause of my unemployment. What CAN one do? It is now twelve months and I can still not get another job. Views and opinions of assistance, please.

My advice would be to take it on the chin, and restart the game. There are quite a few weird bugs this year, and this happens to be one of them.

You'll probably end up getting the England job or something knowing FM.

On my game, just after season 2, Steve McClaren got sacked and was replace by Aidy Boothroyd!

Now I do rate Boothroyd as a manager, but he was in the championship with Watford struggling and hadn't won anything in his career.

McClaren was doing crap in my game and he got sacked for getting 0 points at euro 2008.

Boothroyd took over and just won the world cup

He was doing well with watford when he got the job.

Why don't you try to apply for the empty jobs in the lowest leagues? (or if you've already tried taht if you probably have), see if there are newly promoted-to-confrence teams with no mangers?

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.
