Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Training problems

I posted this in the general forum before I realised this one existed

I've done a search and not found these specific points addressed so if they already have been I apologise

Righty

1) I've been training a central defender (Anton Ferdinand, West Ham) into a right back, his coloured blobs on the "positions" screen show him as having bright green (natural) DC, dark orange (unconvincing) DR and dark yellow (Awkward) MC.

After some training he became "Accomplished" but the blob for DR stayed dark orange - is this normal? Is the text wrong or is the blob wrong? Will he ever actually be listed as a DRC if I train him enough?

Do I have to keep him training in DR for the rest of his career or will he eventually just learn it and not unlearn it?

2) A number of players have "unhappy with the level of training he is receiving" on his "Training -> Overview" screen. It doesn't say whether they are training too much or too little but that doesn't seem to matter because I can't seem to change their workload anyway - I change the "workload" slider (both in the individual player's overview screen or in the general training screen itself) and the changes are never remembered and reset back to what they were

I have set up defenders, midfielders, attackers and goalies on 4 different training regimes - when I set them up everything was fine but now I can't change the workloads. Any advice?

Default

Ther amount of time it takes to retrain a player to another position depends on his age, his adaptability attribute and his starting ability in the new position. It will take at least 6 months to show changes but the quality of the coaches will alo have an impact.

The inability to change the overall slider bar in training is a bug that is fixed in the patch. Lower the individual training areas a little and this will lower the overall bar as well.
