Yes, he means remove the diagonal arrows from your MC's.

I left the arrows on the cms. I finally lost after 17 games, but have all but sewn up the championship. I have lost one game since September(its now March). My team is very average indeed. I have been playing aml and amr as the fl and fr. I put barrows on the full backs as suggested.
4-1-2-1-2 and 4-2-2-2 cause most problems. When I finally lost it was to 4-2-2-2. 2Mc's, 1 Aml 1 AMr. To give you an idea of my team Im Swansea. My top scorer is Rory Fallon. I also have Billy Sharp who is knocking them in. Due to injuries, I have been using some younger players to fill in, but this hasnt effected the results too much.

Have to say this tactic has been brilliant for me.
Beating Juve 4-0 with messina etc... when they have been promoted and have a quality team.
once I get a lead and see that the other team have became more offensive I will put the mentality down to top notch of defensive and depending on their tactic possibly make the fb's run back just like stated previous.
Good work though still waiting to see if the oposition learn it.

Tested further, using my eligible youth and reserve players after I had won the championship by the end of march. I played four games using the stiffs and kids, won three. Even beat a team gunning for an auto spot away on the final day. I keep waiting for this tactic to break down. It hasnt happened yet.

I'm so glad i've found others like me. I'm in my first season managing Coventry in the Championhip. I'd tried all sorts of tactics, the 4-4-2, a 5-3-2 system with wingbacks and many many more. After a promising start to the season the slide began... Before i knew it i was in 22nd place 9 points from safety. I was 80 mins in against Southend who were 1 place above me in the league and drawing 0-0. I i brought 2 more strikers on sacfifising 2 midfielders and went 4-2-4 long ball, all out attack, narrow, rare timewasting with often closing down and won the game 2-0. I won the next three games on the bounce 2-0, 5-1 and 2-0 and i'm now out of the relagation zone!! After reading a few posts on here about this tactic and that i thought i might be alone in with this one being as it quite an uglt tactic but its nice to know there are others!! Peter Key, John Smiths....... Ave it!

this tactic works very well. I won many things playing with Manchester United. However, it really needs players good in the air. Louis Saha in my squad can do just that I would reccommend this tactic to anybody!

Theres only one tactic that ever seems to work for me, I rarely stick 5 past someone, but the chances of even conceding one goal is unlikely.
I do 4-5-1, with two wide wingers coming in to join the lone striker. Attack from the start, and give my wingers free roles.
I did it on my Juventus Game and ended up winning Serie A, did it with Blackpool on my lastest game and have now got them in the premiership don't ask how, I put it down to Brunt and Rhys Evans!!!
But its worked with rubbish players too - I look at each players prefered positions and put them there its that simple. And it works
Blackpool in the Premiership in 2009/10 - all because of this tactic. You must have a young squad though, with possibly a solid striker....I have 35yr Old Horsfield lol

Best tactic that ive used, results-wise anyways, doesnt look particularly good!!!
but question, in the FR and FL positions, would you use a striker, or a winger? because you can't train specifically for those positions? so would a striker be out of position there?
