It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Havent been able to test the updated version of the tactic much due to exams =S But initial testing showed an improvement in scoring but seems to be letting a few more goals in. One thing I notice about the new updated 4-2-2-2 tactic was that it was easier to break down teams but less effective on the counter and opponents scoring more 30 yard wondergoals and also Akinfeev seems to have gone stupid on me and suddenly hes rushing out for the ball and missing it -_-

I uploaded the original tactic on FMDownloads already, its in the main Tactic folder for FM2007 named TM V 2.01 Long Arsenal Oct 2010.tac

OK. 13 games unbeaten. 9 wins. 8 clean sheets.
35 goals for 13 against. Its rare I concede just one goal.Ive had two 3-3 draws, and one 4-4 draw. In all of those games I was 3-0(4-0) up and the oppostion came back.I have never trailed a game with this tactic. Mind Boggling.
The only thing I fear is the computer using this tactic back at me.

Just wanted to say a "Thank you" for this formation as its proved to be very effective for me. Decided to try it at the end of the 6th Season and beginning of the 7th in my Sao Paulo game, and though the initial results werent great, the beginning of the 7th season got off to a great start. This is how the Sao Paulo state went against previous years results.

The primary target man I use, Luis Alberto Herrera, was totally dominant in the air for the most part, and did well to convert what chances he got and set up others, including his strike partner Thiago Ribeiro. I have ex-Vasco man Alex in the FR position and Daniel Carvalho in the FL spot, both of whom got a lot of assists.

Best result was in the World Club Cup Final at the end of the 6th season - held out against Real Madrid for a 0-0, and then beat them on penalties - Rogerio Ceni scoring the first and then saving all 3 of Real's attempts. :p

I'd highly recommend anyone to try out this formation, it rocks.

Very interesting. Might try this out in the Championship with Cardiff.

I have John Sutton, Micheal Chopra, Nacho Novo, and Colin Samuel, along with a youngster on loan from Arsenal, Elston (in think his name is).

James Fowler and Ledley copuld work well in midfield for this, as well as McNaughton, Wilkie, Tiago Costa (Loaned from Hearts), and McEvely (sp).

Might stick in Rashidi's few ideas to make it more defensivley sound.

I'll Keep you updated.

What kind of players are you guys using for the players on the right and left in the top? Attacking midfielders or strikers/forwards?

Rashidi, when you say remove the darrow, do you mean neither MC should have any arrow. On the tactic i downloade one was going diagonally forward and the other diagonally back

I believe that's what he means.
barrows = back arrows
farrows = front arrows
sarrows = side arrows
darrows = diagonal arrows
