I the players height actually recognized in the game, as i heard it wasn't in a previous version, but dont know if that was correct, i.e if i'm looking for a target man i usually filter for height, but am i best of just looking for the best jumping and strength attributes?

In FM06, players height was in the game, but it only influenced the game indirect. Namely: trough the jumping attribute. In other words: when you're looking for a target man, don't look for:

-height
-weight
-jumping
-strength

Just look at the last two ones. A 1.63 player that has 20 for jumping still jumps higher than a 2.07 player that has 15 for jumping. Same goes for weight/strength.

This is the way it worked in FM06, it was confirmed by a SI employee. I'm not sure about FM07, but I think it will work the same way.
