I just need a tactic that will work!!! I've the worlds best players and yet, i still get beat away and can't score.

1) it's against forum rules to ask for tactics, sorry

2) look in the tactics bible for some tips

3)if all your team is made of wonderkids you will be very inconsistent as the players are young - get some older heads in there

I always dread the muddy pitch. As for working tactics - cleons tactic along with his recommended tweaks does work quite well.

I have found the problem with having a young side is they don't seem to have the consistency - now I don't know if that is something built into the game or just my experience - a few older/more experienced heads in key positions might make it better.

Well, I'm going to assume your problem is that you've signed 11 wonderkids but their preferred position is "GK". Check their "position" page on the player screen.

Unfortunately, FM07 doesn't allow you to play with more than one "GK", (a MAJOR bug in the game, sortitoutsi!) so you'll most likely be playing a few of those kids out of position. They're not experienced enough to do it yet, so you might need to bring in some reinforcements. I hear that "strikers" are particularly effective.

"Sweeper" isn't too far away on the field from "GK", so try playing three guys there - it shouldn't be so much of a change for them. Outside of that, I can't help you. Try selling a couple for some cash and buy some defenders or midfielders, then, if you can afford it, some strikers.

Do you have any "midfielders", out of interest, perhaps in your reserves? And what formation are you trying to play? What style of football? Have you read this?

Mungy does have the best point. If you remember time ago when Ajax had all those young players (Heitinga, Sneijder, Ibrahimovic, van der Vaar, Stekelenburg) they had potential but I can tell you now that without vdv as captain they would of achieved nothing and I think the same applies to FM if you have a very young squad. You need a captain with 20 influence, 20 determination, 20 team work and 20 work rate. Just so he can show how to do it

I agree with Justified, a good captain is massively important to how well your side plays. It can be worth getting a player for your team who may not be a great player, but is a great leader :thup:

I would also say get some experienced players in (aged 28 and above) as they can help calm the young lads down in high pressure situations.

My current 11 are made up of former wonderkids and range from 20-26.

Hmm, you have 11 wonderkids, and you're asking for tactics. I've left this thread open for a while, and as you can see, there is hardly anything for anyone to work with when it comes to helping you out. So instead of letting this thread pick up replies that can't possibly help, I'll put it out of its misery.

Perhaps next time you can be more detailed. Alternatively you could read the multitude of good threads around.
