Hi people. I'm a newbie in football manager but I would like to share with youone tactic I've created. I've only tried with R.C. Espanyol (Barca's rival club) and it has given me good results. It would be great if someone could try it with other teams and tell me how it works.
The tactic is played with slow tempo, direct passing and the defense will help a lot the midfield so it creates a lot of possesion and quality chances that will end up happily if you have good strikers.
I don't always use the same mentality, I change it depending if I play home or away and who I play against.
Now, a brief explanation of each player:
GK- Typical goalkeeper stats.
DR/DL - Quite defensive minded, so search for one with good positioning, decisions, and marking. Tackling and strebght would be a bonus.
DC's - Typical center backs. A combo of one fast centre bak and another good in the air will work great.
MCl - Important player. Very defensive minded. He will help defenders work easily and will break up rival's creativity.
MCr- Creative player, also important too. Passing and creativity are most important atributes. Technique would be a bonus.
Strikers - They need good pace, dribbling, finish and off the ball. Even better if they're good in the air. If you have good midfielders they will score a lot.
Just one last thing, I think it's important for all the players (but not indispensable) to have good passing, decisions and teamwork.
