Ok, I've done a search and found requests for bargains, but no actual up-to-date bargains thread for FM07, unless someone wants to open my eyes to one.

So, list your bargain buys here and for which club you signed them for (so we know their level of ability plus how far they'll drop down to)

As Fulham, I've signed the following bargains that turned out to be excellent performers; some are well known in FM, others maybe not so.

LB Pocognoli - 1m
CB Curtis Davies - 3.8m
CB Digard 600k (i think his stats suit him better for a centre back)
DM Suchy 800k (offically a centre back but his low positioning attribute worries me)
L/RM Modric - 1.5m
Eddie Johnson - 1m (ho ho ho)

Those are my immediate bargains on the default database; by making this topic I'm hoping to uncover more strikers and midfielders as I can usually build a decent defensive side with a few million.
