gerrard is a complete player in pretty much all aspects. The only way you can replace him is with a similar stle player, all action high work rate etc. the only person i can think of is essien, but he'll cost loads and doesnt score as many

depends where you want the player to play, CM(not Gerrards best position if you have been playing him there) go for a big name if you can get it Xavi, Pirlo, etc or a younger player Nocinero(sp) Sunny, Banega. AMC(don't know why you would need a replacement for Gerrard if you are playing him here) Giovinvo, Montolivo, VDV, Aimar

I've had the same problem and opted to change my tactics instead. You could use a search with Gerard's parameters to try to get somebody similar but I doubt you'll find anyone as good. I built my team around him but found him hard to replace when he's injured or not performing. Xabi Alonso definitely does not cut it in the big games and Europe. For youngsters if you can afford to wait, Toni Kroos in CM or Matias Fernandez as AM

Not his best position? Right in my game playing him in central mid-field he has finished in the top 3 for World Player of the Year the last 3 seasons.

I just find Xavi better. He's scored more long-range shots for me than Gerrard has for Liverpool.

I like his drilled shots. Brilliant. It was a last-minute winner.
