When I went Watford and got promoted I signed Itandje from L/pool in goal. He has been outstanding for me. In df Goncalves is brilliant from Hearts as a lb or a cb. Justin Hoyte from Arsenal is good for rb. In midfield the two man utd youngsters in Eagles and Martin are good on the outside.

As far as CM and ST go I just stuck with Bangura and King. I had bought Viafara and Stokes when I was in the championship and they did reasonably well for me as CM and ST.

See if you can get Kevin Nolan from Bolton for cheap. He's a good CM. Olivier Kapo from B'ham is a good AMC. Sometimes Giles Barnes is available for around 4M when Derby get relegated. Also, Stephen Pearson is a good left winger. James McEveley is a decent enough CB/LB as well. But obviously, only get them if they're cheap.

You can try to get Mirel Radoi for CB/DM. Mathieu Flamini on loan. Danny Simpson on loan or purchase if cheap. Michael Mancienne on loan at CB. Yoann Gourcuff on loan as well. Sebastien Leto is mostly available for 2M or so from Liverpool. Excellent left winger as well. Harvard Nordtveit from Arsenal. Hernan Crespo is on the transfer list at Chelsea start of season 2. He'll be great for you for atleast 1 or 2 seasons. Claude Makelele as well. Carlo Cudicini is a good GK and is available for less than 1M.
