Default Testimonals and Retired Players

I think it would be a nice touch, you know the players all have favoured clubs, they play for there current club against one of there favourites in a testimonal match.

When a player retires his entire history vanishes, which i find quite bad, i think another touch would be to leave the player in the game. So you can look at his history. You could have it as like a hall of fame section, for every player thats retired, with reputation and stats in there ?

This has been mentioned before with a great response. I feel it would add more realism as all the great players are remembered and most have testomonials.

You can't keep the players in the database because the savegame would become enormous in a hurry.

However, I'd love them to keep the history in the database for at least a month, maybe a year.

The amount of times that I've had players retire unexpectedly and been unable to take a moment of silence to enjoy their stats.

Perhaps the history could be saved to another location. Haven't thought about it in great detail but if it is saved in the user data folder but can be accessed in game?

I think there should be an option to retain retired players. You could choose from just those with a high reputation, or those that played for your club at some point, or them all. Obviously it would be space consuming, but it would be nice to keep some players from vanishing forever. Possibly a shortlist-esque option, to keep some player data forever, and others for just a few years.

Gives you a chance to say goodbye...
