I managed Notts CO. for 6 years and thought to try something so i didnt renew, its just a game right?
But while unemployed and browsing thorugh several possible job oppurtunities, i really regret it, even more so when i jumped on a scabby Leeds job and saw their miserable state.
This happens with some players also that you part with through transfers or quitting because of old age, they dont need to be outstanding either some of them.
Anyway, while i browsed my job opportunities i saw that Notts Co. had fired their new coach, i immediately applied for the job to try and save them from regulation to league 1.
They turned me down , then i i joined leeds but thats another and not equally sunny story.
Do you feel this sometime? or am i over sensitive?

Was manager of a club named Union in Argentina, having guided them to mid-table obscurity to Premier Division titles in just a few seasons, I was ready to battle it out in the Copa Libertadores and challenge for the title again.
But then, my house was burgled, I didn't make a back-up on a memory stick or whatever cause I never thought this would happen. Was quite upset about it really, I put so much time and effort into the team and it was just taken away in the blink of an eye-lid.
But life goes on!

In FM07, i'd won the Champions league, uefa, and all the domestic cups with celtic, in three years.
when the club got taken over by a new owner, i was the first to go, citing "i wasn't good enough to continue" because of my european success i was wanted by some big clubs and i went to man u, (fergie had been retired for 2 years) and the state of the team was horrific, all of the major players had moved on, and i was forced to play a basic reserve team with U19 players for most of my games, i bought some players from celtic, and made it to the champions league group stages, where i met celtic and humped them 5-3,
i can only image what that owner had to say after that.

was at Tottenham for 2 seasons, where we won everything available to us, League Cup, FA Cup, Premier League,Uefa Cup.
When Barca came calling in Season 3, with a 141 million transfer kitty, the money did talk. I left a parting gift for my players, saying they were all playing very well. It's the least i could do(aiming to bring Guilherme to Barca,I'm on his favoured personnel, he even praised me personally after he won his first brazil cap, saying i gave him motivation bla bla bla)
It was nice.I left on 'mutual termination' which means i resigned and joined Barca.

I didn't play for ages after my most recent career game.
I was with Burghausen for 3 seasons, 2 of them in the second division. We were doing OK, then I lost Roland Bonimeier to Kaiserslautern and I rejected a bid for my only remaining left-back (the other one had joined St Pauli on a Bosman) from 1860 Munich - a side I had beaten the season before and condemned to relegation.
The left-back took it badly, even though it would have meant dropping a division and joining a rival, spat the dummy and ran to the press. I told him to shut his gob.
Cue dressing room revolt. Players couldn't be arsed and LB just wanted me gone. Results went down and down despite bringing in a loanee to replace LB, and in the end I resigned rather than face the inevitable sacking.
Other teams - some of them bigger teams - wanted me, but my heart wasn't in it after that.
Wouldn't mind, but I don't actually give a stuff about German footie IRL!
