Is there anyone out there who can explain their crazy draft system in laymans terms? I just cant seem to get to grips with it. Whats the deal with supplemental drafts and superpicks? What is a developmental contract and a rising star contract? I would be very grateful if anyone can try to explain these things as it seems completely different to the transfer systems around the world.

Warning - playing MLS in 8.0.1 is extremely daunting. You only get one decent year of draft players, and then they get progressively worse and fewer in number. Moreover, there are limits on the kinds of trades you can make. You can't trade up or down in a draft. You can't offer a player for a draft pick. And you can't trade multiple players for multiple players.

The ones listed by gunnerfan are problems created by SI and are not accurate.

If you mean that the problems are not an accurate reflection of what happens in the MLS, you are correct. But my list is an accurate listing of the problems within FM regarding the MLS.
