Put me down for "too gimmicky" as well.

I think anything that gets into the manager's personal life is a bit too far for FM's style.

Though, if you really want something like this, you could always role play with your finances using Excel. In fact, that'd actually be far more expansive than anything a game could contain.

How about this, so far the consensus is that it’s too arcady to have the features like the OP suggested, however, maybe we could come together with other idea’s that are less arcady and that could be implemented. I mean end of the day we have the stat of how much we have earned and at the moment it serves no real purpose other than to let us know how rich we are and that we can’t do anything with it.

If all else fails just give yourself the lowest wage so that you have more for your club wages. Another point on that is if you have a lower wage it makes it easier for you to go to another club(if you don’t resign) because then the new club will not have to pay as much compensation for you.
