I've just 'signed' him twice for Derby in August 2008 and both times his wp has been denied and then denied again on appeal despite him being a current international with over 30 caps. This must be a bug surely???

do you have many players already at the club that can play in the same position?
in real life at least you have to prove that no one at the club can already do the job.

I am woefully short of decent strikers. I do have 5 but want to offload 3 but they are so awful no-one else wants them. I had no idea they took my squad into account in deciding, after all it's my blooming squad!!

What nationality is he?

I think they have to have played about 75% (or some other figure) of their nation's games and their nation has to be in the top 100 (i hope) or 75 or something in the world rankings.

It's buging me too, 'cos i've found this awesome kid who's played every match for Costa Rica for 5 years (which is about 10 matches), but I cant have him because CR are 121st in the world.

Costa Rica won the Gold Cup 7 years ago though, so hopefully I can sit tight and their glory days will come again.

get a Wp feeder club so you can get the player even though he can't play. then hope that you can either offer him a new contract and he gets his WP or loan him off to the feeder club or some other better club where the WP problems aren't so stringent.

Where are Russia in the world rankings?

Has he played almost all games over the last 4 year period (compare international appearances with amount of games Russia played)? I don't think the game takes avaliability into account, so if he's had a long term injury in that time, that could scupper his chances.

He's too high a rep. to go to a wp feeder club, doubt he'd go to the likes of Belgium or Poland.
