Default select although its half transparent

Hi

When i decrease the transparency of a layer the auto select doesnt respect the layer and instead it select the underlying layer, how to auto select a layer although its half transparent?

I remember hearing somewhere that Auto Select depends on Layer Transparency. Anything below 50% gets ignored. Unless there are no Layer beneath... I think.

That's what I remember hearing. Anybody confirm or deny?

This is considered to become a big bug Stroker!

Why i need the display the layer platte each time i wanna select a transparent layer.

Because it's the only way if Auto Select isn't working.

Try using the Tab key.
Or learn how to navigate the Layer palette "blind" with just hotkeys.
