Default Low Resources skin

Is there any skin available that is very very low on resources? I basicly need it to play via remote access from work (ie i load the game at home and play it at work via remote)

If the skin will be witouth any pics so be it, i dont want it to be eye catchy all i want is to be able to move along screens without any delay.

thanks
alan

I don't think the skin would make any difference whatsoever in this circumstance.

How do you manage to play from work? Press <Alt> + <Tab> when the boss is near?

with the amount of data that the game is shifting, the tiny added amount used by whichever skin you're using is insignificant.

surely it can't make that much difference. i mean, all the processing is still being done on the remote machine. your vnc or whatever is just displaying it.

Considering elegance is based on the metallic skin and still uses the same xml, with only graphical changes, I think that is perhaps an imagined speed increase. The same number of graphics files are loaded up by the game - presumably of roughly the same size - the only difference is how they look.

Most graphics in the Elegance skin are smaller in file size than their Metallic counterparts.

I think the differance won't be very noticable unless you're on a very slow computer though.

well all the processing will be done by my pc at home (that is good enough to run FM, Adobe, Flash and shitloads of programs together ), the reason why it is slow on remote is because the refresh rate is slow cos there are pictures, if i run a game that is without any pictures it will run perfect. So If i get a skin of FM nearly without any pictures (or that is with few pictures) the game will run good.

I was thinking of doing the same thing Alan as a few of us here play over remote desktop or VNC and it sometimes struggles because of the amount of colours it has to deal with.

Yep that was my point ... it strugles cos of the colors and so on, if we had something which was plain I could run it no problem!

(seems only you understood my query Ter )
