I'm currently making my second skin for FM2005, the Commodore Skin (my first skin being Amiskin).

I plan for the to be released on the 29th April (the 11th anniversary of Commodore's bankruptcy).

Currently the skin is at a very early stage, i've only recoloured the main graphics, created the background and edited some of the .xml files.

Here is a screenshot of the skin it is at the moment Screenie

Do any of you have an opinion of it at the moment, or of any additions you want to see?

My current planned change list is:
*Semi-transparent sidebar
*New top bottom bars
*Back/forward buttons moved
*Red replaceing some blue
*Changed text colour + less bold font
*Full-screen mode in match engine (anyone got any idea how to do this?)
*Changed match icons
*Commodore logos for main icon, magnifying glass, back/forward buttons, etc.
*Removeal of game status button

Anything else you want to see, or anything from that list you don't want to see?

I'm fully prepaired to take note of any suggestions/critism that any of you might have.

A metallic recolour! yay

At a wild guess, i'd say thats sarcasm, lol.

If I planned it to be just a recolour, I could have released it now really, that bit of it's done.

When the skin is finished I don't expect it to look like the metalic skin, with new top, bottom and possibly even side bars. I'm just new to skinning, so i'm useing it as a base as I get started, finding out what everything does and the like.

Then once i've completed that, i'll replace some of the panels with edited or new versions.

Hopefully as it develops you'll see more and more differences.

I have just red it myself and can see that you plan to do new graphics for it, looking forward to seeing how it turns out cos the Amiskin was good quality. KUTGW, and sorry again for my mate

It's alright, my main concern was it turning out to be a plain re-colour.

I actually didn't like Amiskin, it was too much like metalic and there was just too much red.

Hopefully I can have this using a purplely-blue and red to make it look better.

Thats a point actually. Wasn't Commodore blue? Or am I just thinking that because of the chelsea kit it sponsored once.

Yes, the Commodore logo was a darkish blue Example, however I couldn't get a blue that looked right for the skin. They were mostly too bright, making the text too hard to read.

So I decided to edge on the side of purple, as no-one is going to use a skin where they can't read the text.

If there is demand for it I could re-colour the panels, it's not that hard to do, but I don't know if I could find a correct blue that would work.

I'm going to post a slightly updated screenshot shortly.

Well, I think the sky sports skin works reasonably and its of a similar red/blue colour. Blue background with white text would work ok I would have thought.
