I've recoloured the skin (yet again), and managed to change the top and bottom menubars as well. It's not too light is it?

As for the Commodore parts of the skin, I might remove them from it as there isn't going to be much appeal for them, and re-introduce them in the skin after it's released.

As for the critizism, I don't mind people saying they just don't like the skin. I'd prefer if they would say why, and mojomorg did saying he didn't like the colour and the Commodore bits, but if people don't like it, I don't mind them saying so. Thanks for defending me anyway Paul A :thup:

Any comments on it will be appriciated :thup:

Still don't like it... try introducing another colour or another shade as it still looks like a big purple thing and everything gets lost and mixed in together.

And I can hardly read the content because of the background image.

I'm thinking of a super light blue colour, or maybe even a light green. Going to wait for responces this time, I really don't want to have to recolour all the graphics again. Might post 1 graphic with each different colour, so you can tell me what you think of them, and which is best.

I'm on the lookout for a new background image. I created that one in about 30 seconds so I had a related background when I posted a pic of the skin, it was never meant to last even this long, lol (it's only the Commodore logo streched to 1024x786 and multiple "magic" fills of black on the background to remove the jagged edges from it). If I can't find any i'll just replace it with the default one.

I know 1 and 2 are basically the same, but thats due to them being made using a different method, and I wanted to make sure they were the same whichever way I made them.

no4copy is something I have not seen before, maybe you could use that and change your original idea from the commodore skin to just a normal skin with that colour but hey that is up to you.

Now, I'm going to be honest here.

I don't like it. The Commodore theme was OK but the colours were dodgy. Now the apparent move is towards a 'normal' skin with a colour.

That would look rubbish.

Recoloured 'metallic' style skins have been done before, lots of times, too many times in fact.

FM has been with us for a while now, I think its time for something more creative. Sorry.

I agree radestock, but some people (like me) dont have a clue about XML.. which is why i dont attempt any skins

I've not JUST recoloured the metalic skin, I have also changed a few of the graphics, like the top and bottom bars, the squad buttons and some of the icons as well.

After i've recoloured the skin and made a few more changes, i'm going to have a go at editing the .xml files to move some things about. However, knowing nothing about .xml files, it's going to be a long trial and error process.

Just bare with me, i'll produce something worthwhile eventually
