Using a Minolta Dimage Multi for many years--with Win 98........we are using a new computer (2000) and everytime , after we bring a scan into PS >>> we have to close PS completely and reopen to scan are next image-------not really that many steps or time involved ,,,,,,but just seems wierd that an OS would make that much difference ???

Are you using the latest drivers?

cjogo, you asked that question too about 5 months ago ( http://www.photoshopgurus.info/forum...ighlight=#9024 ) and although you're free to bring up the same question again, you might come to the conclusion that you need to contact Minolta or Microsoft, since nobody on the internet seems to have the right answer.
Did you contact any of these 2 companies?

yes on line again this month --trying other Minolta linked forums to find a software update for Win 2000...Minolta says buy new scanner--not the answer I was looking for,,,not too much of a problem,,just a extra minute or two for each operation....But I do scan about 25-30 hours a week, so does add a little .....


But thanks for the good directions,,,will try to find other options

hi, have you tried Vuescan? it is a program that will scan imagse to your disk (thus not to photoshop -future versions might do it-) that might have a batch processing ability for your scanner :

Not sure of the problem--scanner and PS worked flawless in Win 98---same equip does not perform in 2000... "when it's working.don't.."

thanks for all your help--may upgrade to XP on this particular computer..maybe all the troubles will evaporate.......
