Told to post this in this forum instead of general as I'm more likely to get a reply, well hopefully. Right so I have deleted everything contained in the save file except the database, now how can I split it into the separate files so it can be used in the editor. I want this as this save game contains my edited database before I lost all of it. I know the database will be small, but that is fine, I'm not bothered, just want to be able to load it in the editor. So any help on how to go about this from anyone?

You did what? You deleted everything in the save game file except the db?
How? Using what method?
You can split it into the seperate files? What seperate files? The pregame db files?
The save game values can't be used by the editor.

Ok you sound about 100 times better than me in the editor. I just deleted everything along with the .pks files. (whatever that folder is). I want to now load the database from this save file in the editor somehow, it must contain a database because otherwise how does it use a different database to the one in the editor (due to my database being deleted). I just want to use this database in future games somehow.

So let me get this straight...
You want to edit your save game in the editor that comes with FM?
This is not possible.

If you deleted your db, then reinstall the game.

I didn't delete my database, the game randomly reverted back to the original a few days ago. But I do have a same game which uses the old database, I want to know if it is possible to get this old database back as I spent like 12 hours editing the database.

No.
No special way. You'll just have to be more careful.
The game doesn't randomly revert back. Computers can't generate random numbers anyway... Likely a system restore was initiated.
