Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Time for a Re-Think...

Having played 4 seasons in Italy as AC Milan...
4 Serie A titles
2 Italian Cups
1 Champions League

PLaying in italy, i used a 352 with an AMC...keeping the tempo slow with short passing!
Everything was cool, playing very good football...and not conceding many, being the bedrock for winning the league every season!

Accepted job offer from Arsenal at the end of season 4, and started major reconstruction...finishing with

GK Raul (super 23yr old from Bilbao)

CB Gallas
CB Toure
CB M. Richards

LM Riff
CM Vieira
CM Ambrosini
RM Gourcuff
AMC Cani

FC Klose
FC Henry

still playing a similar system, but maintained by slow short style of play...and the defence goes missing at every opportunity, losing 11 games out of 38! and finishing a miserly 4th, with what i considered a very strong squad including Mannone, Albiol, Edu and Bojan etc...

Could it be that the Premier League simply doesnt suit this slow style of play, mirroring real life...i have tried other formations with same slow style!!

Any suggestions welcome, hate to see Liverpool win 3 in a row!

I wouldnt worry about it, fm07 has a defence flaw anyways (loosing too many passes etc).

But you could try putting a arrow from Viera down to DMC position or even throw him down there for the heck of it.

Perhaps a tight man marking on him aswell and increased closing down.

Hope it helps, otherwise wait for 7.0.1.
