Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Barrows on Fullbacks

Doing really well for me coupled with giving them forward runs. Might be worth a shot for those of you having problems with players getting in behind fullbacks.

Might try this. Never really tried this in the last version. I am having this type of problem with Cardiff, as they dont have defendes tht are that pacey getting back.

I am having a lot of bother conceding goals from deep crosses though.

I'm interested to hear how it works, it may just be down to the personnel themselves.

Who have you employed in the fullback positions? Chimbonda and Pyo?

Surely it would require decisions, anticipation, tackling, jumping, heading and pace.

You forgot Positioning, but yeah as I said it may just be down to the personnel.

Chimbonda and Ekotto by the way

Chimbonda is bloody good!

So are they wingbacks with barrows then? Or do you have them in the Full back position?

Standard Fullback position with very short (no choice) Barrow.

I'm going to try and set up a more accurate test by choosing a team which has similar fullbacks on either side and give one of them the Barrow and compare positioning with and without using it.

If anyone has any ideas on which team might have very similar fullbacks?

I gave this a go but I found it just invited wingers to run riot on the wing with the extra space it gives them. What instructions/mentality are your FB's on for this?

Thought I'd bump this one up again considering more of you seem to be just finding out about this.

Incidentally all my back four formations now use a barrow on the fullback.
