It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Creative Freedom, stand still or let loose?

I've been thinking about the results of creative freedom for a while. If you put a very high CF to one of your players, does this meen that he will move around alot or does it meen that he will, when he has the ball at his feet try to make difficult passes to the upfront? Explain please.

As far as I'm concerned it gives him license to do whatever he wants. That includes neglecting the instructions you give him, try fancy stuff etc.

Indeed, only from an attacking sense though

What about the defensive aspect then?

Well Rafa, if a defender has low creative freedom it just means he will take the easy option, keeping his passing simple, rather than trying to play a 'Hollywood' pass

I see that, maybe I misread Cleon's post. What you say make sense, hence why I always give my defenders very little creative freedom.

PS! "Hollywood pass" - great word!

One of the commentators said it once about Steven Gerrard when he was a bit younger, they said he was always trying to pull off a defence splitting pass all the time instead of keeping it simple and maintaining possession.

They said he always looks for the hollywood pass.

Yeah but if he has a low cf and he has TTB on, then the nice thing is he will try and play the safe "hollywood" pass once in a while
