So I've decided to take Fiorentina (-19 points at the start of the season) from the depths of hell onto the top of Serie A. This is my seconad attempt at managing The Viola, previous one being in FM2k6. It's all going fairly well, but I have noticed that I am losing players due to injuries caused by "robust challenges" during training. What the #$%@ are those? I mean, so far both my keepers are out for about a month, plus Toni, Mutu, and Liverani. Any ideas on how I could cut down on that stuff happening during training? In all of the training schedules Aerobics and Strenght are set one notch below medium, but I'm not sure if those two affect challenges in any way.
Your training workloads - try and keep them to medium as a whole, you'd need to consider rotation as well. Training injuries can be severe in this fame, I know, I've had 5 first teamers out through injury, it may look crippling. I'd just find a way to cope till the patch comes out.
Mate, all my workloads are medium. I try not to overwork my players as I am aware of the impact workloads ahve on their wellbeing. I do set certain attributes within schedules to intensive, but overall I keep it medium by simple balancing
I thought maybe there was an attribute of training that was responsible for challenges, like defending or set pieces, but then again, why challenge your team mate in a robust way during training? I do understand the occasional scuffle or an all out brawl at training but rubust challenges are just beyond me.
Both of them have the attribute Fitness at 20, and it's the two of them running aerobics/strength, one of them also does tactics. Now all three of my keepers are out, Lobont has just twisted his ankle at training after "jumping to challenge for the ball". How can you twist your ankle by jumping? You could misstep or land in an awkward way but jumping?
The training levels are towards the end of "medium". I guess it's maybe because the players are just weak sissies :> I'll lower the overall workload a bit and see how it goes. I've had my own training schedules throughout FM2k5 and 2k6 and I haven't changed my approach in the current one. I don't remember being bothered by training injuries in the previous fms.
The end of medium is quite high, especially if you don't rorate the players much. Also its worth taking note of players conditions when they finish a game, if its low you run the risk of training injuries.
Thanks a lot, I'll try to implement a subtle change in the workload on each attribute. Come to think of it I run my players like dogs, but they never complain or suggest that the schedule is too heavy.

because the schedule is probably okay, however coupled with the tactic it might be too intense.
