I have tried this tactic with A Madrid and it was a very effective tactic. I scored 83 goals in the league only conceding 29. I finished 3rd behind the big 2
Torres scored 41 in 44 games.

I also tried it with Arsenal and finished 2nd, 3 points behind Chelsea. Downside to this season was I got knocked out of all the cups at the 1st hurdle including the Champs league. I put this down to injuries rather than the tactic

In both cases I didn't buy any players and just used their current squad.

I am currently trying it Stevenage and Bolton and I will let you know how I get on

I just finished a season with Newcastle, im kinda at a road block with my tactics for these pillocks, so ill test this for you through pre-season and if its anygood ill give it 10 league games.

At first glance i decided to change it from quick tempo mixed passing to slow tempo short passing, i unticked use target man as i feel giving the players the option to use him is better.

After 4 pre-season friendlys all away games

0-0 vs crystal palace
2-0 vs fenerbahce
3-0 vs club brugge
5-1 vs ajax

So as you can see this warrents a trial in the premiership where i feel it will be a lot harder but im opptimistic about it.

Baring in mind im Newcastle (second season) was in debt quiet deep so have sold b.emre m.owen t.bramble b.olivier.
But have managed to intice f.eastwood, b.jones, p.jagielka too the club.

Hoping for a safe mid-table finish, ill let you know how i get on in 10 games time.

Ok quick update
Finished 14th with Stevenage. Got sacked at Christmas with Bolton

Not sure how affective the tactics are with poor players.

Still working wonders for me at A Madrid. Won league in 2nd season
