It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

You should thank Cleon....

By the way...what's you goal scoring rate now? 2.4? I will assume your conceding ratio should be in the region of 0.5

I'm using a different tactic to yours...my goal scoring rate for my 424 is a paltry 2.4 and I concede 0.5. I think your set piece defending is all buggered up. So you will need to modify that. I wont download your tactic not now cos I'm trying to fix my games history at the moment.

If you are losing away and winning at home, then you need to look at it ingame to see where you have gone wrong. I wouldn't make such drastic changes.

For one thing, an a wide attacking tactic does work well at home, forget about Don's remarks, he's not adding much to the discussion you're hoping to gain.

What I would is this:

Follow my suggestions earlier about pulling back the two and making them AML and AMR. Do not use the darrows on your MCs. Trust me your defensive record will improve.

Oops sorry big mistake...i was getting you confused with someone else who was asking me for advice bout the 424...

Try doing this in your tactic away from home...barrow your fullbacks, set team mentality to defensive, have your DL at 12, and barrow the MC.

Wow, you added so much to this discussion.

Nonleague, in the games away from home, have you tried the forwards with disganol arrows to AML/AMR positions?

Also have you tried someone who is not a targetman type of player in the FC position? On my formations with 3 strikers, i found out a pace striker with good technique was much better than a header of the ball. But that could just be how my tactic is set up.

Pace seems essential though for the FC when playing a 3 imo, id have pace as his core stat simply because of the space he gets a times, its good to have pace.
