It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

I've tried tweaking it but every time i tighten the defence it loses too much of its attacking potency so I've decided to adapt a Keeganesque attitude of never mind if they get one we'll get 4 and it kinda works most of the time. I've given up on poker at least on here i just lose my sanity instead of cash as well

Nonleague you are a tactical god, my Grays team that are average for the engkish conference hit the playoffs in season one and were unlucky to be eliminated, the second season we cruised through the playoffs and made it into the football league.

I was dreading my first season in the football league but was hopefull your tactic would help me too survive, boy was I wrong,my team played well throughout the season with a particularly strong defensive record and ended up just claiming the 3rd place and automatic promotion to League One at the first attempt.

Bearing in mind my team are rated as average for the conference I am both delighted with the tactic plus extremely apprehensive about playing in League One.

If this tactic somehow ensures my survival in League One I will be offering Nonleague 2 options, either myself a completely red blooded male as a complete slave forever more, or Non league can have full options on my beautiful wife forever more [ especially if he can keep her out my way throughout season 4]

I'm more than happy with the one I'm using mate it does a great job. I've only signed 5 players and 2 loanees in 3 seasons, if anything I've had to make heavy cutbacks because my wage bill was sky high compared to my turnover. I brought in Tom Craddock, Brian Close and a guy from Preston reserves in seaon 1 and then Nat Brown and Dominic Blizzard in season2, i had about a 10k transfer budget the first season and no funds for season 2 or 3, my team is largely made up from the original Grays squad and a few of their youth team that have come through.

My preferred starting XI is as follows:

GK- Danny Knowles (originally Grays reserves)
DR- Scott Canham (originally Grays)
DL- Mark Wright (originally Grays)
DC- Nat Brown ( a free transfer signing)
DC- D. Sangare (originally Grays)
MC- Stuart Thurgood (originally Grays)
MC- Brian Close ( a free transfer signing)
MC- Gary Evans ( a Grays U18 product)
FR- Joe Alnsiyah (2k buy from Preson Season 1)
FC- Tom Craddock (7k signing from Middlesborough Season 1)
FCl- Aaron McLean ( originally Grays)

Apart from these I only have 5 or 6 decent utility back up players and as soon as I am hit by injuries I have to promote from the youth team.

As you can see on paper my squad should have really struggled in League 2 so absolutely delighted with first time promotion although I am not looking forward to a season in League 1 with my paper thin squad, but then maybe the tactic will perform a miracle again and I'll scrape survival.

PS feel free to take up option2 but make sure you have plenty of headache pills around the house.

Not sure about Denis Oli, I'm not an avid fan of theirs but I have seen them play acouple of times. Michael Kightly and Aaron McLean are the stars of the real life side and have been attracting premiership clubs if reports are to be believed.

I personally am a Swindon fan and am looking forward to a bright new start under Paul Sturrock who wil hopefully show more commitment to the cause than the poisoned dwarf otherwise known as Dennis Wise

@nonleague

Here is my feedback of your tactic after one season with AC Milan :

It's simply great ! I just lost one game, and the defence is terrific(Most of the goal from my opponant came from fast break, or huge mistake from my defence) I only use the away version of the tactic. My season was plagued by injury , and i was playing with some very old or very youg player...
I finish 2nd in seria and went to CL final (i would have been 1st without the 8 point penality due to calcio scandal). It s a great result with an old team, a small transfert budget .

So now, young player from season one are more ready to play and my team is playng very well in my second season . I ll give u a feedback later...

I think your tactic is underrated, it's the best i've try so far.
