I have a few questions about your instructions and why you've chosen them.
1. Why have so few on through balls?
2. Why does your striker have high CF? Won't that make him roam too much?
3. "Easy tackling", does it really make a difference in player performance?
4. Hold up ball - Why ? Never really had any use for it myself.
| The reason being is that I want my passes to be more accurate and by having too many with through balls we will lose possession and the tactic was designed for low league sides who will not possess that quality to pull it off.
He has high CF to create room for himself and to my knowledge it isnt that high although I cannot remember what I set it at.
Easy tackling as I do not want my poor tackling players to go in hard as it will most likely be reckless and give away needless free kicks and possible sendin offs.
Hold up ball is a good option for the striker to have so that he can bring other players into play as we are playing a direct game so at times the rest of the team will be left far behind.
Have you tried the tactic yet? </BLOCKQUOTE>
Yes, i'm sorry, I read the post all wrong. It looked like you used 18\16 in CF in your first post at first glance . It also looked like you you had almost your entire team on rarely TTB, but that was also ofcourse wrong hehe

| Have a read through the very fisrt post when I described the tactic and what it does then you will gain a better understanding as to what type of players you are meant to be playing. For a start do you have a big target man who is strong in the air and has the ability to hold the ball up? and if so have you put him in the target man menu? </BLOCKQUOTE>
I've not tweaked anything other than set pieces yet, but the guy who I play as the central striker and target man is only 5'11 i picked him up from Middlesboro youths and he has fairly poor jumping and heading yet he has banged in goals for fun, 18 in 28 games so i would say the tactic is capable of accomodating a shorter target man as well

Just finished the first season, finished 4th in the Conference and qualified for the play offs where i lost in the semis to Morecombe, the 2nd leg went to extra time and we both scored and i was leading on away goals but my target man got injured after i'd made my subs and they scored a 119th minute winner, so pretty annoying but hey it happens.
Definitely happy with the tactic scoring loads and bringing in a few more suitable defenders, i think 4th constituted a good season especially as my media prediction was 9th and my assistant thought that i needed to strengthen all areas of the team to achieve a respectable position. Just about to play through the summer and start the dreaded 2nd season with the same tactic

Hey Marcos how is the tactic doing now that you have gained promotion?
| Well, they still great in defensive system! I conceived just a few goals (second better defense!), i'm in the middle of the season right now.
The problem is the attack is having a hard time to score, but that's because the poor quality of the strikers, in a higher league... i'm in the mid-table, not bad so far... my budget for hiring is just 50 thousand euros, so...
But i'm happy so far, i'm sure the next season in second division will be much better... the only thing i want right now is avoid the relegation, and the great defensive system of this tactic is working well for that!

The Home tactic for me is working wonders!
Turned off hold up ball, and made my main FC rwb alot. FCL has no arrows at all and he seems to bang in the goals and stay central.
No going to pass through middle alot and hopefully all my strikers will play arsenal type passing football I hate crosses!

Just finished my 2nd season as Grays, got off to a poor start because of a glut of injuries to my best players but picked up just before xmas when squad was more or less fully fit, then myFCl had a big drought and a few poor results meant morale dropped and we sunk too mid table, I then had a dig at my top scorer for poor form and all of a sudden we were playing like world beaters again and managed to sneak into the play offs with a result on the last day of the season. We cruised through the semi against Stevenage and lined up for the final against Oxford who were big favorites, yet low and behold my FCl scored his first goal in 20 odd games to secure us a 1-0 victory and promotion too League Two.
Tactically I still used the away version throughout the season and the only tweak was too the set piece instructions, my away results weren't as impressive but my home form was excellent only one defeat all season, still scoring goals for fun, apart from my favoured FCl missing everything, and the defence was much tighter with my new quicker centre backs, still need to find a decent keeper but the few faults I have had are down to personnel rather than tactical deficiencies.
Hugely impressed with the tactic as my media prediction this time was 11th and my assistant reckoned we had no chance of attaining a top half finish, also most tactics struggle when used for a 2nd season yet this held up well and performed just as well as the first.
Now I'm gonna use it for a 3rd season as Grays embark on their first ever season in the Football League, I'll keep you posted.

Hope you can sort your LFC out. Maybe ban him from going out on the town at the weekend!!
| Lol, I think I'll let him off as he was my player of the year first year and he's only 22. The AI seems to struggle to get to grips with the tactic though its passed the 2nd season slump test
