First season with Villa and won all 3 domestic tournemants.
Transfers in - Steven Taylor, Luke Young, Paul Scharner, Guardado and Doyle (Reading)
IN Jan window bought Obefeme Martins.
Bouma was magnificent as was Melberg and Sorensen. (thats never happened before)
Now who do I buy to challenge in Europe?
Any advice. You know my squad 'cause I sold noone. Why does noone want to buy Villa Players.
I already bought Gareth Bale to take over from Bouma eventually and Hearts GK
(Sorry this is all from memory as I am at work.)
So give me some advice who to buy for next season, please!!!Thanks
can't really remember - Doyle top scorer with 30+. Martins scored about 12 in 12 games.
I did concede too many. Was thinking of shoring up my defence. Think its will too much to expect Sorensen and Mellberg to play well 2 seasons in a row. I think I need another RB to support or replace Luke Young.
Khalid Boularouz is suprisingly good. Oscar Ustari is the best GK in the game but his price varies and he can be inconsitent in the second season. Also try Gerard Pique and Corkula (sp? Recently signed for Man City IRL)as they are good, relatively cheap young centre backs. Micah Richards and Sergio Ramos are the best young RBs on the game but cost a bucket.
Mellberg ought to be fine next year, and Soresen is statistically one of the best in the premiership.
Sharner did great - played most games.
Doyle played central striker alongside another playing the same way. I forgot I also signed Lavezzi at start of season - he played alongside Doyle. Doyle 29 goals Lavezzi 16.
I play a noprmal 442 with wingers.
