The squad is okay, with a blend of youth and experience throughout (includin Welsh Young Player of the Year, Lewin Nyatanga) but unbalnced and is in need of re-inforcement, however, a limited budget of only £100k makes ths harder to do.
One problem with the squad is that most of the key players are ageing. Especially when you look at the defence; M Johnson, Moore and Edworthy are all veterans, as is striker Paul Peschisolido.
Improvements Goalkeepers: The goalkeepers are decent, and you should expect a few offers for Lee Grant or Lee Camp that will help raise some cash should you accept.
Defence: All positions are covered, and despite a few good youth players, experienced cover may be needed, particularly for full-backs.
Midfield: Extra wingers are needed, with only young Ryan Smith and ageing Morten Bisgaard as reconised wingers, although again, the reserves and youth squads offer alternatives. The centre of midfield is still strong with the addition of Matt Oakley, despite the loss of key playmaker Inigo Idiakez.
Attack: Area most in need of improvement is Attack. With only ageing super-sub Paul Peschisolido as a recognised striker, the additions of Steve Howard and young starlet Aturo Lupoli on loan have helped, but at least another goalscorer is needed.

Nice to see a Derby thread on here When FM07 comes out Derby will be the first team that i manage! On the demo Steve Howard is a very impressive Target Man, he wins nearly every header that goes up front (he cant finish thugh).

i have played the first 6 month in the demo, and ended up finishing 4th and only to lose 2 games! a right winger is needed as are strikers! i signed Teddy Sheringham(short term solution)i found a couple of foreign gems!also i had alot of trouble selling camp, althought by the time the new game is released i think he will be on loan at Norwich.
