Default Team full of Academy Players?

I started a game with the aim to develop a team full of players which had been trained at the clubs own academy. I decided to go with Man City because they had a few good young players. So far it is not quite there, I'm guessing it will take a few years

Gk - Kasper Schmeichel
Rb - Micah Richards
DC - Nedum Onhuoha
Lb - Stephen Jordan
Lw - Ismael Miller
CM - Joey Barton
CM- Stephen Ireland
St - Daniel Sturridge

Other first team quad players include

Kelvin Ethuhu
Shaleum Logan
Michael Johnson

I am also currently in the process of buying back Bradley and Shaun Wright-Phillips, therefore I will only be a couple of players short

All these are preiership standard too

Has anyone else had a go at this an had success?

I won Fa Cup in my first season and finished sixth and are halfway through my second season

i tried this with newcastle, but as usual with newcastle, it all messed up as i only really had Andy Carrol as a striker as i couldnt prize LuaLua of pompey and i wasnt prepared to go near Carl Court

were they? ive only been following football for about 6 or 7 years so i dont really know much about the pasts of older newcastle players. i have found that my best academy player was Steve Taylor, and my worst was Frazer Forster.

After City, the best bet would be Liverpool. Carson, Carragher, Warnock, Insua, Routledge, Anderson (Paul), Gerrard, Guthrie, Lindfield and Fowler are all premiership quality at some stage, although once Guthrie and Routledge are Fowler's past it.

Well done on getting so many players, all you need now is either a RB or a CB and a few more squad players.

I could register Carson as a player from my academy, but Isua wasn't in my db. I guessed that he was home grown
