Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht, usually known as Anderlecht, is a Belgian football club. They are the most successful Belgian football team in European competition (with 5 trophies) as well as in the Jupiler League (29 championship wins). Although they were founded in 1908, they only won their first major trophy after World War II (in 1947). Since then, they have only finished outside the top 5 of the Belgian first division twice, in 1952 and 1973, finishing in sixth place on each occasion.

R.S.C. Anderlecht play their home matches at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium located within the Parc Astrid in the municipality of Anderlecht. The board of directors is currently considering a move to a bigger stadium that would not necessarily lie in Anderlecht.

Anderlecht has been playing in the Parc Astrid since the building of the Emile Versé Stadium in 1917. The stadium was completely rebuilt in 1983 and it was renamed in honour of the then chairman Constant Vanden Stock.(Constant Vanden Stock Stadium). Capacity of 28,361.

Anderlecht fans are generally considered the most demanding in Belgian football. The club has had the highest average attendance in the Jupiler League for ten years. Also the board want nothing less than the title. The motto of Anderlecht (Mens sana in corpore sano) is written on its badge as are the three letters SCA referring to the initial name of the club (Sporting Club Anderlechtois). A crown was added in 1933 following the name change to Royal Sporting Club Anderlechtois.

They have some good (maybe even great) players f.e. Van Damme (versatile), Boussoufa, Biglia, Pareja, Frutos ... but tbh they need reinforcements in every line.

They start with a budget of 300.000 euro but when asked for more you get 7 mil euro (not to bad).

Hey purefun. I might join you in a few days, im currently enjoying my bayern muchen game but I have been looking to start a new game and maybe Anderlecht are the team for me.

Great thread, very informative :thup: Though coming a bit late i suppose (FM08 demo is out on Sunday). Anyway, I've been struggling for a game lately and will give Anderlecht a go. Is this your home club by the way?

First observations:

Dont get 7m budget after asking for more, i was refused.

Youth coaches are brilliant, I am offering most of them full coach contracts.

about the demo i don't play it and its still a month or two before the actual game is here to buy so just one last game
