So.. I've just finished my first season, I'm running a variety of leagues across Europe and am managing in Wales after 1 day 22 minutes total play.

I've played around 38 matches this season and despite having the LATEST patch, I only scored one penalty all season. Matches were often a case of me dominating for long periods, only to conceed on one of the few highlights the opposition had and I've become increasingly annoyed with my players backing away from the ball when their the closest player to it, allowing the oppoistion to pick up possession.

Matches are often a drag as I watch my team aimlessy try to bungle the ball into the net for long periods only the other side to do so in an instant. The match 'analasys' is highly repetitive and a complete and utter waste of time.

Matches aside I thought the competition news option was a great idea although I soon found the news to often not be in date order and I had to search for key things which should pop up within the Club news section such as managerial news. I didn't even get a news item saying when the league had been won!

To finish things off, unrealisticaly, nearly every manager (apart from top 2) has his position under threat and it's unlikely his contract will be renewed.

This game is such a let down, so many things make this a back step when I initally thought it was going to be the best FM release ever.

I have the patch and didn't start the game until I had it but as much as I love playing FM I don't know if I can even bother wasting all my time on another season.

I think when the final patch comes out, it will make FM2008 more better to play, and i am very happy, because i loved this game so much.
