"Welcome to the Editors Hideaway. This is where you can ask any questions about editing/editors in our games. Before asking a question, please take the time to read through the topics already there, as in most cases your question will already have been answered. Please also take the time to read the instructions/readme that should come with any editors etc that you have. If you still have a problem, then please provide as much information as possible. (game version and steps to replicate the problem) This will make it easier to identify the problem and hopefully provide a solution. Also, keep the forum tidy. No advertising, no abuse, so SMS language, signatures, e-mail addresses or excessive smileys. Please try to keep all the threads on topic. Mods reserve the right to edit/close/delete/eat posts as they see fit.
ANY USERS REQUESTING A NO-CD CRACK OR ADMITTING TO USING ONE WILL BE BANNED!"

I would suggest getting your friend to post it to you!

Rule Number One: The FM CD lives in the DVD/CD Rom drive.

i have no idea if this is legal. shouldn't be but it depends how people see it.

this uni thing, what a load of rubbish.

what i do is make an image file of my fm2005/6 cd using alcohol120% then save that file on my hard drive and mount the image whenever i need it.

but this time alcohol cannot copy the protection you have put on the disc and the disc is starting to scratch. i am not after a no-cd crack, this is a wonderful forum and i want to be a part of it. no-cd cracks are viruses, i know as i have tried one (before i knew i could make a backup on my pc) and it nearly destroyed my pc (accoring to the guy at pcworld anyway).

this is where people get me wrong, i do not make copies of the game, i dont like piracy, im not a hooligan, chav or anything like that, just because im 17, it doesnt mean i do illegal things, i got banned from another forum because i denied doing this sort of thing and a reply i got was
Quote:
We know that you are lying to us, all you young children are the same, i bet you have sold hundreds of copies of our game, to think a 16 year old copied a game to 'store on his harddrive' yeah right
this is one reason why i hate chavs, they give respectable teenagers like myself a bad name.

So, not only do you admit that you used a CD crack, admit that you use Alcohol to create an image, but you also admit that you actually listen to the idiots at PC World?

You're circumventing the copy protection on the disc (which is usually bad sectors in the Table of Contents), but it seems to me that you're trying to protect yourself by saying that you don't realise what you're doing is wrong.
