In the editor the Soccer AM Badgers appear as a team, yet they are never loaded into FM 2006. I was just wondering if anyone knew why this was, and if it could be done to other teams? (Bet you can't guess who I'm thinking about!)

You'll have to create an EDT and DDT for them. To do this:

soccerAMBadgers.ddt
# This team can only play in friendlies and contains virtual players
"RETAIN_PLAYERS" "5007012"


------------------------------------


soccerAMBadgers.edt
# Harchester can only play in friendlies and contains virtual players
"FAKE_TEAM" "5007012"

# Swap Soccer AM Badgers with a Premiership team (currently Wigan (ID 737)
#"SWAP_TEAMS" "5007012" "737"


These were ripped directly from the Harchester files replacing the name and the ID of Harchester with the Badgers' (5007012).

Thanks, but I think you misunderstood the point of my question.

I don't want the Soccer AM Badgers to appear in my game. I was just curious as to why, seeing as they are in the databse, they don't appear.

The reason for my asking is if it turned out that there was some coding that could prevent teams in the database from being loaded into FM 2006 entirely, I'd like to know it (so I could apply to it Harchester!)

Sorry I may not have made myself that clear.

Start up a game of FM 2006 and do a search for Badgers and nothing comes up. They appear to not exist.

However, start up the editor and do a search for Badgers and they appear there in the database.

I just want to know what is it that makes them appear in the database, but not load into FM itself when you start a new game?

Maybe they didn't agree to give FM a big plug on Soccer AM and SI forgot to delete them?

Your best bet would probably be asking someone like Gripper or one of the SI researchers
