It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default 4-2-3-1 : Interpreting and Improvising

Alright here's my scenario, I'm new to FM tactics engine and recently read the guides located in this forum..hence making my very own first tactic. Using the tactic tainted.v1 as the template, I tweaked it quite substantially according to what I judged to be my players' strengths and weaknesses.

Problem is, I'm not very good at analyzing but from what I see, many goals were leaked due to the fact that my defenders not being able to chase opposition forwards, plus many simple passes by my fullbacks given away.

I'll post up my tactic and the player instructions. Could anyone comment on the potential strengths that I can exploit and the current weaknesses this tactic holds?

What I'm mainly trying to accomplish is Dagoberto running into the finish while Cole distracts the defenders/holding the ball. Not really sure if I've done that in this tactics though lol.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I'm not very certain how to post up the instructions in a faster manner, so I just took screenshots of each player and the team instructions.

I specifically modelled it based on the RoT system.

Im so useless at this game Im not going to try and make too many suggestions, but one quick observation may be that your target mans mentality is very high.

If he has an extremely high mentality, I think that encourages him to go for goal more often than not - lowering it may be more suited to the hold up the ball and play others in approach. Just my take on it though - what does he generally do when you watch the games?

Screens are ok on mine.

I agree that it would be wise to lower Coles attacking mentality.

I would also put his creative freedom down.

Finaly, try using Cole as the target man, drag his name into the target man list and set your amr and aml to cross aim target man.

This (i hope) should get the ball to cole more often and he should lay it off to AMC as he charges forward.

With out looking at Coles stats i can't suggest what you should set your teams target man supply to.

Hope this is of help with the attacking.

I would also suggest making the Farrows on the DR and DL into Barrows and increasing their mentality a bit. This will cut off the supply from their wingers, but you will et a bit less supply.

Eh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Target Man supposed to do the scoring? Oh my god I am so bad at this lol.
