how about fm doing a "classic" tactic? i.e chelsea 41221 gk rb,lb,2xcb,dm,2xcm,aml,amr,st and having preset individual tactic. or the arsenal tactic with there short & quick style of football. i ask this because i allways have 2 play 442 with chelsea if i want to win but with the same group of player i do rubbish with there 41221 formation, maybe its my individual player tactics but would make life soo much beter with a preset which include individual player instructions. itd the dm and lone striker role that kils me. dm =defensive mentality, closing down allways and short passing but it never works, allways lays crap.

Always go for 4-4-2 counter attacking. set attitude to defend and wait for the space. You need decent wingers (Duff/Solano/Giggs) etc and team passing that emphasises wing play. can't go wrong.

but i dont wanna play 442 wanna find the team and individual instructions that work with a 433/451/41221 it suits chelsea's squad of players well but just doesnt work on fm. i have a sorted 442 tactic which i do very well with at any team the 433 has chelsea writen all over it.

can any one tell me a successful gk,rb,lb,cb,cb,dm,cm,cm,amr,aml,cf team instrusctions and individual instructions? its mainly the dm and cf individual instructions that i cant seem to get right.

This is exactly the formation im working on. I was looking at using a back 4 from another formation as a base but these all seem to rely on the midfield formation to work.

Its getting the mentality right else the striker tends to get isolated.
