Is it true that the computer will eventually adapt to your tactics if you keep the same basic tactics for every game?

If you keep the exact shape and instructions for every game yes.

How much changing around do you do?

I've been keeping the same shape and just do minimal changes to the instructions. Move a handful of sliders around for each game.
