It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Strikers mark defenders?

I am currently trying to get my fast strikers, Defoe and Cisse,
to tightly mark opposition centre backs and then break off when my team is in possession.

I have them with forward runs on often, little CF(7), ment 15 closing down 14.
problem= strikers get caught offside often, maybe i should take off forward runs?

good side effect opposition are forced to play the ball forward quicker, and lose possession, as the defence is being pressured by strikers
Also experiementing with wingers mm fullbacks

good post, i was thinking about this today, as i have a range of fast strikers but none too good with jumping or heading, i tried it out, and it works really well with a 4.3.3 formation, and fl and fr(aml and amr)

how did you get it to work? ive been having probs decided to use one striker and the amr/l to man mark and leave the other striker as a tagert man- feeding the fast striker with flick ons or if a creative forward like keane get the ball played to feet so he can play through balls.

another idea i had was to set the fast striker as target man with tm supply set to run onto ball. if man marking makes this more effective or not im not sure more testing is needed

mido and walcott/defoe working a treat! I have mido on a very physical traing schedule so he is now very powerful and execellent in the air. he is set as a target man with the supply as mixed, as he is alos good with ball a feet. he is scoring plenty and setting up the fast striker with his flick ons and strength on the ball.

also ive noticed walcott nicking the ball off the defenders quite a lot, shame he cant finish properly! the one prob is im not getting the results i intially set out for ie getting the fast striker to play on the centre back's shoulder.
