Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Is there any way, to have a better injury prevention?

I worked my way up from Eastbourne Borough in CS, to Swansea in the Championship,

but now, from my 26 players, who are capable of playing in the championship, 19 are injured, 19!!!

Including all 6 of my central midfielders and all 3 of my goalkeepers.

Other thing: none of the injuries is for less than 2 months!
Some are 5 to 7 months.

This ain't normal anymore...

Any loophole to prevent this?

How were they injured? Might be down to your training?

I wouldn't call it a loophole, but you can do several things to avoid injuries.

1. When you have a tactic that is high tempo and heavy closing down, players conditions tend to go down faster. So it helps subbing players whose conditions drop dramatically. Be on the lookout especially for players who get injured ingame. They may have a cross on them but look at their condition. If its around 50 and goes up very slowly, then be prepared to take them off. That way you avoid getting them seriously injured.

2. Training...I wouldn't have any heavy training at all. Try keeping them on medium. During the december period, try and reduce intensity of aerobic and strength. If you don't they will get injured.

3. Your physical conditioning in preseason is important, have physical training and aerobics but don't overdo it, one week before the season starts switch from preseason to normal training.

4. Physios: Not sure if this will help, but having more physios used to reduce the recovery time. I don't know if this still holds

5. Go to FM Tactical Clinic, there is a thread up to that lists useful links there is more information there.

thx for the hints,
but I think i'm just unlucky...

When started this thread, it was only half september, training schedules are light, and almost every player get's injured in a match,
with sometimes 4! players par game!

Like, everytime you're behind, and U use all 3 substitutions before minute 70, you can be certain, that between minute 75 and 78, a player will have to come off...

bizarre, by times...

Training facilities are of course very important too. Always get board to upgrade as often as possible
