does anyone know how to stop the old problem of a player (usually defender) running towards a high ball, heading it nowhere, not being able to recover from the shock of heading it nowhere, only to have some guy half the pitch away (literally) stealing the ball off you and scoring?

also common is said defender being the last man, doing that and then the keeper runs out half the length of the pitch to "collect" ..and by collect i mean get beaten by miles by the opposition striker who was 2 foot away from the defender.

how'd i fix this glaring problem?

its not really tactic related (imo), whatever formation i play be it 442, 433, 352, somewhere along the line, the defender (its been both central defenders and full backs who have done this) will try a shocking back pass that goes as far as his shoelaces and not react to it and lose the ball.

schoolboy error but the game cant seem to handle it.

absolutely infuriating when you lose 1-0 to a goal like that, GRR!

i hope its a match engine problem and its to be fixed in the upcoming 701 patch.

I think pretty much all these stupid defensive incidents have been sorted in the patch.

I've noticed this too. Also, players taking a throw-in and just throwing it slightly in front of themselves and standing still allowing an opponent to just come up and take the ball!
